Condensation & Mould

Condensation is a common issue within households, especially during the winter times, and can cause problems later inside your homes. To help you understand further, please watch this short video about preventing condensation and mould

What is Condensation & Mould?

Condensation is when moisture in the air settles on cold surfaces such as windows, walls and areas with little air circulation and thus creates water droplets. This process usually occurs during the winter months and happens most commonly in kitchens and bathrooms. Household activities such as drying clothes and boiling water causes condensation.

When condensation occurs, it’s possible that mould can grow on your walls and ceilings. Mould forms from the dampness from the condensation which is why it is important to wipe away the moisture as soon as possible.

How to keep your home safe and healthy from Condensation & Mould?

• Open as many windows as you can

• Leave Space in between furniture and walls

• Dry clothes outside (if possible)

• Cover pots and pans with a lid when you are boiling water
