In July we visited our supported living scheme in Wigan to check up on its progress and it is safe to say that the building looks a lot different from our last report earlier this year. The progress has been moving along as we are now entering the final stages of development. So what has changed since we last did a report?…well everything has. The once-raw construction site has had a remarkable glow-up from January’s Report.
Eastdale has been through some advancements during these last few months. The first thing you will notice is that the front and back gardens have been laid. These areas are going to allow tenants to have outside space and fresh air. The front garden has a wheelchair ramp that allows anyone who has a wheelchair to freely move around both buildings.
Block B has also recently installed a show apartment to give us an idea of what the apartments will look like when they are completed. Tenants and their families were given the opportunity to visit the site and see the show apartment to get a firsthand look. The show apartment is also available on our social media for you all to have a look at. Each apartment will include one bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living room.
The scheme is now underway in the final stages of development. Most of the electrical and plastering have all been completed. It is just a case now of putting it all together and making a start on the car park in the front.
