On the 29th of September, we hosted our Macmillan Coffee Morning. The event was held at the reception foyer at the Wigan Investment Centre between 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM
The day started with the PFL team setting up and decorating the reception foyer. The cakes were brought in by our team and were neatly organised between two tables looking very appetising and tempting. The first slice of our Jaffa Cake cheesecake was gone as soon as the time hit 10:00. As the day progressed many people in the investment centre gathered around both tables to ponder the delicious baked goods and kindly donated their Macmillan
As the day progressed staff from Partners Foundation took turns selling cakes by swapping every half an hour with colleagues who kindly volunteered and offered to help. We sold a wide range of cakes including a Colin the Caterpillar who certainly didn’t last very long and even had a surprise visit from sausage Neil (@NeilSausage) who wasn’t very impressed when he was told that he couldn’t have any treats
The Coffee Morning was a great success, we love making a difference by doing these fundraisers. A big thank you to Lynne Doginson and Tracey Williams who organised the event which raised £226.30 and a big thank you to Red Pepper Cafe for donating 50p for every coffee they sold and raised £17.50
