This year, our office hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning to support an incredible cause. We gathered staff, volunteers, and friends at the Wigan Investment Centre. Together, we aimed to raise funds and awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that transforms lives.

How We Hosted Our Macmillan Coffee Morning
We organized this year’s event with enthusiasm and teamwork. Staff and volunteers rallied together at our office in Wigan. Our team kicked things off early, setting up tables with colorful decorations and a tempting spread of treats. They collected donations, trading them for delicious homemade cakes like chocolate brownies and lemon drizzle slices. Everyone’s generosity stood out. For example, some staff baked extra batches the night before, while others brought in family recipes to share. We even added a small display with Macmillan flyers to educate attendees about the cause. The room buzzed with chatter and laughter as people swapped stories over coffee. As a result, we raised £481 for the charity. Each pound helps fund vital services that improve lives.
Gratitude and Looking Ahead
Beyond fundraising, we spread the word about Macmillan’s mission. We shared stories of cancer support with attendees. Additionally, we invited local businesses to join future efforts. Their involvement could boost our reach. Meanwhile, our staff brainstormed ideas for next year—like adding a raffle or live music—to make it even bigger.
